Breath Bound is a 2D co-op puzzle game where two divers are tethered to a single oxygen tank and must work together to reach the surface before running out of air. Coordination is key-players must navigate terrain and solve environment-based puzzles together.
Introduction
Breath Bound was created as part of Global Game Jam 2025, based on the theme 'Bubble'. I developed the initial game concept - two divers sharing one oxygen tank - and must work together to solve the puzzles.
During development, I helped align the team on a shared creative vision while staying with the tight 1 week time limit. The result was a polished, atmospheric experience that encouraged cooperation through a simple but tense mechanic: pass the tank and don't stray too far from each other.
This project taught me how to rapidly prototype ideas, scope effectively under time pressure, and maintain a consistent gameplay vision across a team of ten.

Game Concept & Pitch: Proposed the diver & shared oxygen mechanic and communicated it clearly to the team.

Oxygen System: Designed and implemented the oxygen depletion and refill system, including UI feedback and the timing balance.

Environmental Colliders: Created custom polygon colliders to match hand-drawn terrain shapes and allow smoother player navigation.
